A winning Powerball ticket worth more than $600,000 was recently purchased at a Cathedral City Circle K convenience store, lottery officials said Thursday.
The ticket, which was sold at the Circle K store at 35472 Date Palm Drive, matched the numbers 1, 15, 18, 26, and 51, for a $628,737 prize.
According to lottery officials, the winner only missed the red Powerball number 26, which would have netted them an estimated $100 million jackpot.
The winner, who has not yet turned in the ticket, was urged to sign it and visit one of the nine state Lottery District offices.
Lottery winners have 180 days from the ticket’s purchase date to claim the prize, according to the California Lottery. If unclaimed, the money will go toward state public schools.
