A small earthquake rattled the Inland Empire at 12:59 p.m. Sunday.

The epicenter of the 3.0 quake was about 2 miles southwest of the San Bernardino City Hall, according to automated seismographs and computers operated by the Southern California Earthquake Center.

It was widely felt, from the Victorville area south to Hemet.

At magnitude 3.0, it was classified as “minor” by the USGS and far too small to cause damages, the USGS said.
