County health officials warned residents that Friday’s air quality will be unhealthful for sensitive individuals in the San Gabriel Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and west San Fernando Valley.
People who live in those areas and have heart disease, asthma or other respiratory problems are advised to minimize outdoor activities, according to Los Angeles County Interim Health Officer Jeffrey Gunzenhauser.
Schools in those areas were also reminded that children who suffer from respiratory ailments should not participate in outdoor physical activity.
