Better leave lots of extra time for your LAX trip Tuesday as vehicle traffic may be backed up as Uber and Lyft drivers demonstrate against low pay.
The midday protest is planned by ride sharing drivers at Los Angeles International Airport, and it is expected to cause some traffic delays at the Central Terminal Area Tuesday.
The demonstration organized by Uber and Lyft drivers over their pay does not have anything directly to do with LAX. It is scheduled to take place from noon through 2 p.m. in the rideshare pick-up and drop-off area “A” on the upper/departures level between Terminals 1 and 2.
Los Angeles World Airports, the city agency that operates LAX, said in a statement that it “encourages passengers traveling through LAX to give themselves extra time to get to and around the terminal area, in case of delay. LAWA also recommends that passengers being picked up or dropped off do so at the lower/arrivals level.”
