A power problem at a downtown Metro rail station caused limited service on the Blue and Expo lines Wednesday evening.

Both lines were sharing a single track into and out of the affected Seventh Street/Metro Center station, according to Metro’s Dave Sotero, who said the problem was first reported a little after 6 p.m.

Shuttle bus service was established between the Seventh Street/Metro Center and Pico stations, Sotero said.

“We encourage passengers at Seventh Street/Metro to also take the Silver Line to (the) 23rd Street Station and continue on the Blue Line,” Sotero said.

As of about 8 p.m., the Blue and Expo lines were experiencing delays of approximately 30 minutes, Sotero said.
