A storm on the east coast resulted in the cancellation of more than two dozen departing flights to that region from Los Angeles International Airport during a five-hour period Wednesday morning.
Twenty-four flights scheduled to take off for New York between 5:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. and two flights to Boston were canceled, reported Los Angeles World Airports, the city agency that operates LAX.
No arriving flights were canceled during that time frame, which is a statistical window provided by LAWA. But a few delays were reported.
Passengers were urged to check with their airlines for the latest flight information.
