Firefighters were able to quickly claim control of a brushfire in Browns Canyon Sunday, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 1:16 a.m. north of Browns Canyon and De Soto Avenue near the Oat Mountain Motorway, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Ed Pickett said.
Firefighters from L.A. County, L.A. City and Ventura County responded, since the fire was in an unincorporated area on the border of the three jurisdictions, Pickett said.
The fire was contained to three acres in about an hour and 10 minutes, he said. No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation, Pickett said.
