A power outage affected several Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers in the Beverly Grove area, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The outage was reported at 1:40 a.m. and but ended by 3:40 a.m., LADWP spokeswoman Sylvia Beltran said.

An operator at Cedars-Sinai told City News Service the hospital was on generators during the outage.

The cause was a malfunction at a receiving station, Beltran said. The exact number of customers affected was not reported.
