Power was restored Thursday morning to the remaining 168 Southern California Edison customers in West Hollywood who were knocked offline because of a fire in an electrical vault.

Power was restored about 1:45 a.m., SCE reported. At the peak of the outage, 2,377 customers were without power.

No one was injured as a result of the fire, which was reported about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Santa Monica and La Cienega boulevards, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Firefighters conducted several elevator rescues Wednesday afternoon due to the power outage, a fire department dispatch supervisor said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
