Mayor Eric Garcetti will host a fundraiser in Hollywood Tuesday evening with a goal of raising a total of $1 million — $100,000 for each of 10 state Democratic parties.

Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will emcee the event at Avalon Hollywood, with DJ Khaled among those expected to perform.

“State Democratic parties are where it all comes together — where they are working to flip Congress, win state legislative seats and register voters,” according to a statement from Garcetti. “This is about the short game and the long game, and keep in mind that state legislatures are in charge of drawing congressional districts. Our opponents certainly do.”

The fundraiser is expected to include an audience of hundreds of people, including elected officials and state party leaders from the targeted states, according to the invitation.

The state parties benefiting from the fundraiser are California, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The fundraiser was inspired by the political action committee’s May event that raised $100,000 for the South Carolina Democratic Party, organizers said.

Tickets for the fundraiser benefiting the Democratic Midterm Victory Fund were initially announced as ranging from $1,000 to $100,000; however, general admission tickets were available online Monday for $50.
