Firefighters battled flames in a commercial building in Sun Valley Tuesday morning.
Crews responded about 5:15 a.m. to a call of a rubbish fire in the 8300 block of North San Fernando Road and when they arrived, they found the fire had extended into the wall of a one-story commercial building, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters extinguished the bulk of the fire, then opened walls in the building to chase down the remaining flames, she said.
A knockdown was declared at 5:40 a.m.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
