It took 30 firefighters 11 minutes Monday to put out a smoky fire in an apartment in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The fire was reported just after 2 a.m. at 5405 South Ascot Ave., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Peter Mills said.
“Units arrived on scene to find a two-story apartment complex with smoke showing out of the second floor,” Mills said.
The flames were out at 2:20 a.m., he said. No injuries were reported.
