A big rig jack-knifed Thursday morning on the transition road from the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway to the westbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Mission Hills and prompted the closure of that transition road until at least 6:30 a.m.
The 53-foot tractor-trailer slid into a containment wall on the freeway about 4:15 a.m., according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.
A SigAlert was issued at about 4:30 a.m. for two hours.
There were no reports of injuries and the cause of the crash was under investigation.
