Traffic was moving again Monday on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu after a car crashed into two parked vehicles and flipped over, sending three people to hospitals, authorities said.
It was reported at 8:23 p.m. Sunday on PCH at Zuma Beach, Lt. K. Mendoza of the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station said.
The car plowed into two parked cars and each vehicle had at least one person inside, Mendoza said.
The preliminary assessment was that “speed was a factor,” she said.
Two patients were airlifted to hospitals and one was taken to a hospital by a ground ambulance, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman said.
All lanes of PCH were shut down.
Pacific Coast Highway was reopened about 11:10 p.m., Sgt. B. Bunch of the Malibu sheriff’s station said.
