Firefighters extinguished a trash fire that spread into the back of a home in South Los Angeles in 19 minutes, authorities said Wednesday morning.
Crews responded at 11:14 p.m. Tuesday to the home at 2158 W. 77th St., near Van Ness Avenue and the border with Inglewood, and encountered downed power lines as they worked to put out the fire, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A total of 28 firefighters fought the blaze and knockdown was declared at 11:33 p.m. Tuesday, Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
