Firefighters needed 31 minutes Thursday morning to extinguish a fire inside of a one-story commercial building in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles.
Crews responded at 2:39 a.m. to the building at 8563 Venice Boulevard, just west of La Cienega Boulevard, and battled through heavy smoke inside the building from fire inside and outside the rear of the structure, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A total of 42 firefighters battled the blaze and a knockdown was declared at 3:10 a.m., Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
