Authorities sought public help to find a Compton man with dementia who went missing Thursday.
Mario Torres, 69, was last seen at his home in the 1800 block of East McMillian Street at 1:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Torres is considered at-risk because of his dementia, according to the sheriff’s department. He is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-6 and 159 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He was wearing a black hat, gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black house slippers.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts was urged to call sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500.
