A 76-year-old man with dementia who went missing in the Westmont area of South Los Angeles is safe and back home, the sheriff’s department reported Monday.
Eddie Lee Muhammad disappeared Saturday from the area of 87th Street and Vermont Avenue, and sheriff’s officials had sought public help to find him.
“Muhammad has been found safe,” according to a post Monday morning on the sheriff’s Twitter account. “Thank you to the public for your thoughts and efforts in locating him!”
