The first working structure fire of 2020 for Los Angeles County firefighters was in the attic of an El Monte house, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 12:42 a.m. on the 2600 block of Sastre Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Arriving firefighters reported just under 25 percent of the attic was burning, fire officials said.
The fire was reported out at 12:56 a.m. with no injuries reported and 20 percent of the attic damaged, officials said.
