The fire was reported at 10:05 p.m. at a home located at 21055 Ingomar St. between Canoga and DeSoto avenues, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived and found fire showing from one room in the front of the home and began pouring water through an already broken window, Prange said.

Other firefighters went inside the home and punched holes in the roof to vent smoke, Prange said.
