A small fire Sunday morning on the second floor hallway of a three-story apartment building in South Los Angeles was held in check by the structure’s sprinkler system.
“The fire did not spread to any residential units,” said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched at 6:39 a.m. to the 200 block of West 27th St., Prange said.
“LAFD will ventilate the building and conduct a water sweep operation to help prevent further water damage from the sprinkler activation,” he said.
No injuries were reported.
