One man was killed Monday morning in a crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway at Culver Boulevard, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol arrived on scene at 12:48 a.m. and promptly halted southbound traffic flow through Culver City, a CHP spokesperson said.
Details of the accident remain unclear, but motorists caught in the traffic stoppage described in social media posts a body lying in the middle of the freeway.
The man was pronounced dead on scene, a Culver City Fire Department spokesperson confirmed.
While two lanes later reopened, four lanes remain closed while officials investigate the accident.
