A 68-year-old man with dementia who went missing Monday in Bellflower was back with his family Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff’s department reported.
The announcement that Vonnley Ray Latour was safe was made less than an hour after the sheriff’s Missing Persons Detail asked for public help in finding him and posted his photo and that of his vehicle.
Latour was reported missing after driving off in a 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck about 1 p.m. Monday in the 9100 block of Walnut Street, near Lakewood Boulevard.
Information about where he was located was not released, but authorities said Tuesday he was reunited with family members.
