Live electrical lines fell onto the roadway Tuesday in Thermal after a vehicle hit at least one power pole before fleeing the scene, but nobody was hurt.
Two downed poles were reported at 7:44 a.m. near Tequila Market at 76502 Old California 86, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Only one vehicle was involved, the CHP said, and it did not remain at the scene following the crash.
Power crews were called to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
