A big rig making the transition from the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway in Gardena Saturday morning struck a guard rail, became stuck and caused at least two gallons of oil to leak from the rig onto the roadway.
The crash occurred just after 5 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
No injuries were reported.
A SigAlert was issued for the transition road, the CHP said. It was reopened at 1:25 p.m., after the spill was cleaned and guardrail repaired.
