Two people were injured Saturday when a car crashed into a telephone pole in the unincorporated Athens area of Los Angeles County, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 6:15 p.m. at 120th Street and Western Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The black Mazda 3 reportedly knocked down the telephone pole, the CHP said.
Los Angeles County paramedics freed two people trapped inside the vehicle. They were taken to a hospital for treatment, Los Angeles Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas said.
