A 36-year-old woman went missing Thursday, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert in Los Angeles County.
Vivian Vanessa Venegas, who suffers from a medical condition and may become disoriented, was last seen about 2:30 p.m. near Wedgewood Street and Encinita Avenue, a few blocks from Las Tunas Drive, in Temple City, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Venegas is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 270 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, the CHP reported. She is believed to be wearing a silver hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and pink shoes.
Authorities circulated a photo of Venegas and encouraged anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact 9-1-1.
The Silver Alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled and cognitively impaired individuals, according to the CHP.
