Firefighters attacked a Vermont Square house fire from the roof and inside a home Saturday, putting out flames in 16 minutes, authorities said.
The fire was reported just before 4 p.m. at 1835 West 48th St., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
“Fire attack made an interior approach into the attic while roof division cut a ventilation hole,” Stewart said. “Additional firefighters conducted salvage operations to protect the belongings inside the home.”
The flames were out at 4:16 p.m. All occupants were outside the home and no injuries were reported, she said.
