The transition road from the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in Norwalk was shut down Saturday evening by a collision that overturned a big rig and erupted another vehicle in flames, causing a brushfire, authorities said.

All lanes of the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway were temporarily stopped while the transition road was shut down, the CHP said. The SigAlert was issued at 6:09 p.m.
Los Angeles County firefighters worked to put out the flames and the call was out for two heavy-duty tow trucks to pick up the tractor and trailer, the CHP said.
It was classified as an injury collision but no specifics were released about injuries.
