A motorcyclist was killed Sunday during a crash on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita, authorities said.
The crash occurred a little after 12:10 p.m. on the southbound freeway at Soledad Canyon Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Paramedics dispatched to the location at 12:14 p.m. rushed at least one person to an area hospital, according to a county fire department dispatcher.

And although the CHP lists the crash as a fatality, according to its Traffic Incident Information Page, it was unclear if the biker died at the scene or at an area hospital.
A Sigalert was requested at 12:32 p.m. to allow for the closure of the number one and two lanes of the southbound freeway.
The number 1 and 2 lanes were reopened at 1:02 p.m., according to the CHP. The number 3 lane was shut down and remained closed as of 4 p.m.
