A 77-year-old man with dementia went missing in Lancaster Thursday.
Benjamin Jones was last seen about noon in the 44500 block of 15th Street, between Avenue J and Lancaster Boulevard, according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. He was wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans.
Jones is described as black, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 230 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair, Ortiz said.
Authorities circulated a photo of Jones and encouraged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Those wishing to report anonymously can call 800-222-TIPS.
