A man who suffers from a medical condition and went missing nearly two weeks ago in the Westmont area, triggering a Silver Alert, has been found, authorities announced Monday afternoon.

Mario Samuel Rodriguez, 59, was reported missing May 5, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The CHP announced that Rodriguez was located, but did not provide further details.

The Silver Alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled and cognitively impaired individuals, according to the CHP.
