A small brushfire in Santa Clarita was extinguished Sunday by Los Angeles County firefighters.
The fire, which was initially estimated to be 300 feet by 20 feet near Golden Valley Road and Centre Pointe Parkway, was reported at 4:42 p.m., said county fire Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores.
The department sent seven engines to the site and firefighters stopped the fire just after 5 p.m. at half an acre, she said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
