A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter made an emergency landing Thursday in the Canyon Country area, but no one was hurt.
The landing occurred shortly before 7 a.m. in the 13900 block of Lang Station Road, according to the fire department.
The Firehawk helicopter “was returning from its forward deployed location to base for crew swap … (and) experienced #2 engine failure,” the fire department said in a tweet. “Pilot made emergency landing. All four personnel onboard safely on the ground.”
The helicopter will undergo testing by mechanics before being cleared for another flight, officials said.
