Firefighters Saturday knocked down a stubborn second-alarm fire at a strip mall in Huntington Park.

At least five units at the structure at 2701 E. Slauson Ave. were damaged, including a Domino’s Pizza, according to a county fire department dispatcher.

Firefighters dispatched to the location at 5:29 a.m. had the fire out at 7:27 a.m., he said.

“A defensive, exterior position was taken up, as the roof collapsed and the heavy front facade fell into the parking lot,” according to the L.A. County Fire Department Twitter feed.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
