A Silver Alert is in effect Wednesday for a 78-year-old man with dementia who went missing in the View Park area.
Oliver Ray White was last seen Tuesday about 3 p.m. near his home on Presidio Drive near Floresta Way, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
White has a medical condition and may become disoriented, the CHP reported.
He is described as black, 6-feet tall, 220 pounds, with grey hair, green eyes, a mustache, and skin discoloration. He may be wearing a tan shirt , tan pants and a brown jacket.
Anyone who sees White or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled and cognitively impaired individuals, according to the CHP.
