A fire in Van Nuys Thursday damaged a commercial building that apparently was the site of a “cannabis growing operation,” authorities said.
Firefighters sent to the 7500 block of North Woodman Place at 7:19 a.m. extinguished the flames in the 50-foot-by-100-foot, one-story building in 23 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The building “appears to have housed a cannabis growing operation,” the LAFD reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
