A person died in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday in Lancaster.
The crash happened at the intersection of East Avenue H and 90th Street about 5:40 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi.
There was no immediate word on the age or gender of the deceased, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
One person was temporarily trapped in the wreckage. It was not immediately clear if that was the person who died, Polizzi said. No other injuries were reported.
The CHP shut down the intersection where the crash happened for an investigation.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s investigator was at the scene.
