A garage went up in flames Sunday as a fire in South Los Angeles licked its way into a carport and threatened buildings on three different fronts, authorities said.
Crews extinguished the blaze along the 600 block of West 59th Street in 27 minutes, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Margaret Stewart.
The fire was reported just before 3:15 a.m.
It took 46 firefighters to gain the upper hand.
Video posted on the social news app Citizen showed a fire line eating away at a roof while smoke billowed into the night sky.
No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
