At least eight vehicles were involved in a crash on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in San Dimas Tuesday morning, prompting the closure of the carpool and No. 1 lanes until further notice.
The crash was reported about 3:55 a.m. near the San Dimas Avenue exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of a pickup truck reported hitting an unknown piece of debris on the freeway, which was followed by a multi-vehicle crash, including a big rig that sustained a broken left front axle, the CHP said.
No injuries were immediately reported.
