A 3-year-old boy has drowned at a home in Lakewood, authorities said Sunday.
Paramedics were dispatched to the 6000 block of Glorywhite Street at 2:55 p.m. Saturday, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
“CPR was in progress when we got to the scene,” the dispatcher said.
Paramedics rushed the child to Long Beach Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lakewood station.
“It appears to be an accidental drowning,” he said.
