A five-acre brush fire broke out late Monday morning in the Santa Clarita area.
The blaze was reported about 9 a.m. near the 25000 block of Pacy Street, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. By about 10 a.m., containment was listed at 40%, the fire department reported.
There was no word on what sparked the fire.
