A fire outside a Pico-Union paint shop Tuesday evening burned multiple vehicles and caused paint cans to explode.
The fire was reported about 6:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Vermont Avenue, near Venice Boulevard, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The heat from the blaze caused paint cans to explode, and multiple vehicles were burned, Stewart said.
Sixty-three firefighters extinguished the flames in about 35 minutes, and the fire did not spread into any structures, according to Stewart. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
