A fire was burning Thursday in about a half-acre of brush in the Malibu area, but no structures were immediately threatened.
Firefighters were sent to the 20700 block of Rockpoint Way about 1 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the fire, which was burning uphill in light to medium brush.
