A brushfire burned Saturday afternoon near a model-plane airpark in the Sepulveda Basin in Van Nuys.
The fire was reported at 3:06 p.m. in about an acre of medium vegetation in the 5600 block of North Woodley Avenue, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.
The wind was light and the fire slow-moving, Prange said.
No structures were threatened, he said.
There were 63 firefighters assigned to put it out, Prange said.
