It took 50 firefighters less than an hour to put out flames in the attics of two separate Craftsman homes in the Westlake area of Los Angeles Saturday.

The fires were reported just after 4 p.m. at 2328 James M. Wood Boulevard, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.

The flames were out at 4:55 p.m., Stewart said.

“The fire in the original building extended to the wood siding of the adjacent structure, which then burned up into the attic,” Stewart said. All occupants were out before firefighters arrived.

No injuries were reported, she said.
