A man who died when his vehicle crashed into two Southern California Edison utility poles in unincorporated Willowbrook was publicly identified Monday.’
Mauricio Lopez, 28, was a Los Angeles resident, the coroner’s office said.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported at 7:32 p.m. Sunday at 130th Street and Broadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorist now identified as Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
The crash left wires down from one pole and a light cover detached from the other, the CHP said.
All lanes of Broadway were closed at the crash scene while Edison crews made repairs.
