Firefighters Saturday stopped the forward progress of two grass fires near each other in the Lancaster area.
The fires were reported at about 5:15 p.m. in the 7700 block of West Avenue H in Antelope Acres, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Fire officials described one as half an acre in size and the other, a quarter of an acre.
At 5:25 p.m., firefighters reported stopping the forward progress of both fires and holding them from growing larger than an acre.
No injuries or structure damage were reported.
