A big rig crashed Saturday morning on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Palms and leaked fuel, prompting a closure of three lanes of the freeway until further notice.
The crash occurred near National Boulevard at 3:55 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Approximately 40 to 50 gallons of diesel fuel leaked from the big rig and the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 lanes of the freeway were closed just north of Palms Boulevard, the CHP said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
