Firefighters Sunday knocked a blaze in one unit of a strip mall in Azusa that was possibly triggered by an electrical malfunction.
Two adjacent units sustained minor smoke and water damage.
Firefighters dispatched at 9:11 a.m. to Alosta and Barranca avenues had the fire out within 40 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
“Quick (and) coordinated action prevented damage to 12 nearby occupancies that were threatened by fire,” according to an LACFD statement.
No injuries were reported.
